Mercedes-AMG E43 4Matic to arrive in India in 2018

Mercedes-Benz India is planning to introduce a new vehicle in their E-class portfolio; the Mercedes-AMG E43 4Matic version as somehere in 2018. 

The premium luxury sedan will arrive in India as a full import despite Mercedes locally assembling long-wheelbase E-class sedans and will be the only standard wheelbase version of the new E-class in India. 

The car will derive power from a twin-turbocharged 3.0-litre V6 petrol engine cranking a humungous 401hp and a peak torque of 520Nm. It will be mated to a nine-speed automatic gearbox and will feature a four-wheel-drive (4WD) system. The carmaker claims that the E43 can clock triple digit speed in just 4.6 seconds. It will have a top speed of 250kmph.

The E43 will be positioned between the standard Mercedes range and the complete AMG versions. It will be sporty and will utilise a sports suspension with adjustable dampers and larger breaks to manoeuvre the powerful car.  Large AMG wheels, AMG lettering on the brake callipers and a quad exhaust will further make the car capable. 

The cabin of the E43 constitutes of fully digital instruments, sculpted sports seat and a flat-bottom steering. 

It is expected to be priced around a whopping Rs 85 lakh (ex-showroom).
